Last Saturday, on the 20th of February, we hosted our best visited virtual event until now! The SCM Network was very pleased to present the first Virtual Wine Tasting with three delicious wines from Austria to over 50 participants! The event was hosted on Zoom and many participants joined together with members of their shared flats to have a fun night with some amazing wine.
Three great wine makers joined us to present their own wines. Josef Mantler presented a Neuburger from 2020, Johannes Jurtschitsch let us taste a Grüner Veltliner from 2020 and Birgit Aigner presented her Riesling from 2019.
After each wine, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions and some lively discussions about wine and its production took place. After we experienced (and emptied) all the wines, all participants were mixed up into break out rooms to spend some more time with the other network members.
First of all, we want to thank the amazing wine makers for this great evening and for letting us ask all the (stupid) questions about their wine and their way of producing wine. Also, big thank you to all of the participants, you made this evening a lot of fun!
Hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did and your hangover wasn’t too bad 😉
It will surely not be the last tasting we will host!
