On April 5th, 2019, 18 SCM students participated in an interactive workshop at EY. After enjoying the beautiful view over Vienna on the 34th floor from the EY office, the event started in a relaxed way by describing your childhood dream job.

Malte Böckmann then continued with a presentation about EY and in specific Supply Chain Management at EY. Christoph Pressleitner further elaborated on department specific challenges and opportunities, and Steffen Rother has given the SCM students an insight in the career opportunities and application process at EY. Another SCM Alumni, Viktoryia Bakhrutdzinava, told about her experience as a consultant. After a short break we began with the rotation session, where each consultant presented different aspects of their work-life to different groups of students. Afterwards, 4 groups were assigned to individual case studies, for which they had to develop solutions within the limited time and present their results in front of the other groups and the EY consultants. Great constructive feedback of the consultants on the students’ results and a comparison of the results with their own approach has ended this interesting afternoon, fol lowed by the afterwork networking.

We would like to thank EY for this insightful workshop!
