On June 7th 2016, approximately 20 SCM students from both years attended a workshop held at WU by the Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (HBC).

The workshop was centered around supply chain planning at the company; students were able to gather insights on how supply chain planning works at Coca-Cola HBC through games, quizzes, and presentations by a manager as well as an SCM alumni from Batch 2011, Nina Hauser.

Participants were put into teams as they had to work together to plan a filling line based on multiple constraints for one of the games; they also had to make estimates on all the components needed to create one case of a given product.

All in all, the workshop was a great hands-on experience for students to get an overview of important challenges in terms of supply chain planning for a company such as Coca-Cola HBC and brainstorm on how they could be tackled.

A big thank you to Coca-Cola HBC for providing us with this workshop and to the Corporate section for coordinating it! Check out some pictures of the workshop below.
