On the 6th of March 2020, the first ever Business Brunch took place, a joint initiative of the SCM Network and the MSc Marketing Club. The collaboration between the two student networks, closely linked to the Master’s programs in Supply Chain Management and Marketing, gave the students the opportunity to broaden their horizon and discover synergies between the two fields as well as meet companies that cater to both interests.

Each student was able to participate in two workshops, choosing from a diverse range offered to both programs. While some students applied their skills to real-life cases combining both fields, others engaged in discussion on specific topics that reflect the core challenges faced in the rapidly changing environment of today. With a variety of industries represented, the students were able to connect with future employees and discover new career paths.

This event also presented a unique opportunity for the participating companies, which were able to strengthen their brand image and visibility among a broad range of students from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. Adding to this was the flexibility that was given to the companies for structuring and developing the workshops tailored to their own requirements.  The workshops were followed by a brunch which allowed the students and the companies network and connect in a relaxed environment.

The MSc Marketing Club and SCM Network would like to thank both institutes for facilitating the administrative frame of the event. We are also very thankful for the engagement and enthusiasm of all the participating students at the event and the successful cooperation with the following companies, without whom this event would not have been possible:

Coca-Cola HBC (Beverages)
Mars (FMCG)
Takeda Pharmaceutical (Pharmaceuticals)
Spar (Retail)
Inverto, a BCG company (SCM Consultancy)
Heimat Wien (Marketing Agency)
