On March 16th 2018, 17 SCM students and alumni participated in an interactive workshop at EY. After enjoying the beautiful view over Vienna on the 34th floor from the EY office, a somewhat challenging question to describe yourself in one word, starting with the first letter of your first name, has led to a very inspiring introduction round to get to know each other.

Christoph Pressleitner then continued with a presentation about EY and in specific Supply Chain Management at EY. Steffen Rother has given the SCM students an insight in the career opportunities and application process at EY and SCM Alumni Viktoryia Bakhrutdzinava told about her experience as a consultant. Also Klaus Gasch, who flew in from Germany especially for this event, was ready to answer all the students’ questions. After a short break, Andreas Zopf and Viktoryia Bakhrutdzinava introduced two real-life case studies about manufacturing and sales & operations planning, respectively. The students worked on these case studies in groups and finally presented their results in front of the other groups and the EY consultants. Great constructive feedback of the consultants on the students’ results and a comparison of the results with their own approach has ended this interesting afternoon.

We want to thank EY for this insightful workshop!
